Where is JKS? Where is Strong? We are not playing our best players. Is this a coaching decision?

He is completely full of sheet! He gave a terrible explanation of why he started Brouseau over JKS. We obviously made a huge mistake in hiring him to be our head coach.

I actually agree with Tosh, Brousseau earned the start with his play. We didn't lose because of who started at QB. We lost for a LOT of other issues. I'm a fan of letting players play decide who gets to start. But again, there were other issues that kept us from being competitive.

You agree with Tosh? He obviously doesn't have a clue what he's doing as head coach. For the most part, after a huge Tosh buildup, we have underperformed this season. If you think this season hasn't been a huge letdown, think again. Tosh is a position coach out of his element. The defense doesn't even look good under Tosh. Why would JKS want to stay now with this embarrassment of a head coach? Tosh is clueless.

Why bring JKS in for 4th quarter garbage time?
Starting Brousseau was defensible, but when the offense was doing nothing with him at QB, JKS should have come in the 2nd quarter or to start the 2nd half or not come in at all.

We didn't lose this game because of QB play.

The thing is, I don't think Brousseau played poorly. He didn't make back breaking mistakes, he made his reads and tried to make plays. The problem, as when JKS was starting, is the rest of the team around him. Receivers can't get open, play calling is bafflingly conservative and predictable, and so on.
Brousseau seems to have a better pocket presence. He's much more willing to stand there, make his progressions, and try to complete his passes. He may not be as physically talented as JKS but there's a lot of value to what he brings.
That said, no level of QB play today was going to polish that turd.

They both have the problem that they suck when its time to run. I though Jackson earned another shot and given JKS was coming off both a concussion and ankle injury it seemed the conservative approach. Last week Jackson had zero passes knocked down. This week he had at least 2. Last week the receivers could do a little after they caught the ball. This week the Yards After Catch was abysmal in the first half.
I'm just mystified how we had the ball at the 1 yard line and our first run play was for negative 5 yards. How does the OL explain that? Ashton had no chance on that.

I know shocking, I can agree with Tosh on one thing while also seeing he's not a very good head coach at the moment. I think you need breathe my man. There's no need to fly off the handle, he's the head coach atm, and nothing you say is going to change that for awhile unless it goes down bad. We might lose JKS, guess what, this is the NIL era of college football. It sucks.

I tell ya what else stinks: continuing to hire the wrong guy to lead the program and having to sit through this year after year.
Didn't mean to upset you. But it is disappointing to support a program, drive a hundred miles for night games that means we get home at 2:00 am and we continue to watch embarrassing
football. Just wish we would make the right hire. We've waited too long for some semblance of success. And it can be done if we just hire the right guy.

I was lucky enough to experience the Bruce Snyder and Jeff Tedford era of Cal Football. Imagine being a Cal fan from 1960 ...We had people who's BI name was all about seeing Cal in the Rose Bowl before they died that didn't make it. My dad never saw Cal in the Rose Bowl, he started me going to Cal games as a kid in the late 80s. Cal doesn't take athletics seriously. I use to think they could still win once in awhile a conference title despite that. The best I can say is we got close once or twice. My life is now on the clock so to speak, being past 50. Will I ever see Cal win a football title of any kind? Boy I sure wasn't saying that as a elementary school kid lmao.
The difference between the haves and have nots in college football has never been larger.

Agreed. Brousseau did not play poorly but JKS throws a better deep ball and has a bigger arm, which is what we needed to have a chance at coming back.
