I hope your team is as arrogant as the posters in this thread. Funny how a certain team that finished in the middle of the Pac 10 in 2005 had the same thoughts going into the game.
Anyways, if any of you actually want to discuss our current squad or learn more about the proud tradition of UC Davis Aggie Football, more than welcome to come over to our boards. I feel that this is an exciting day for the UC system as a whole. Enjoy our wine before the game.

As someone who went to graduate school at Davis, let me say that I loved Davis, as the school has a lot of awesome qualities. However, football is not one of them. The whole football experience was really weird at Davis, it totally reminded me of high school. Not too many students were really into it, not too many went to the games...it was kinda disappointing actually, cause I expected more. Let's just say BCS football is not even in the same realm. As a side note, the band-uh is one of the more, uh, lets just say "interesting" things I've seen. Its a weird cross between the worse qualities of the Stanford band (ie trying way too hard to be irreverent) and the UCLA band (trying way too hard to be unlike the Cal band (dude, nice sunglasses - and yet - you are STILL PLAYING OUR SONGS!!!......wait....aren't those our uniforms too!??!? can't you guys get some fancy capes or something?) You thought watching the UCLA band was pathetic, wait till you see this. I hope Davis brings their full band and that they perform, should be entertaining, at the very least.
One of my mentors was actually Jim Sochor, former longtime Davis HC, (cause I wanted to get into sports law) and we had a lot of conversations about Davis football, how they needed to improve, how to raise their profile, etc. And one thing we always talked about was how great it would be to get a game with Cal, just to generate some excitement in the Davis community and to raise the profile of the football program. However, even he had no delusions about Davis' chances when playing Cal. He admitted Davis would probably get creamed, but it would be worth it anyways.
So, I can see your point of view. No one wants to go to a opponent's board and read that the opponent's fans are totally disrespecting your team. However, you have to also see our perspective. We haven't lost too many OOC home games in the Tedford era. We've beaten some pretty decent teams (Tennessee, to name a few). And we've normally demolished weaker OOC teams, even when we aren't that good (see Maryland last year). So I don't think its unreasonable to think we are going to be able to handle Davis. And yes, you guys did beat Stanford (and we were all rooting for you then) but remember, we beat the same Stanford team that year 27-3, with our fullback at QB.
