the whole "BEAT CAL" and "BEAT STANFURD" shirts are quite boring...

beeasy, you a current student? The t-shirts in my day were quite raunchy. I especially remember one that depicts a Bear performing a lewd act on a Furd dollie against a tree. Have they so sanitized the rivalry that offensive t-shirts aren't worn? Say it ain't so.

if you know where i can get one of those "bear humping the tree" shirts, i would pay good money for one. i saw a couple of those when i was there '01-'05 and i would love to have one. any chance you (or anyone) could tell me where to get one?

I would if I could but I can't. I haven't seen one in years and mine's long gone. I think one of the fraternities made the shirt but I don't know which one. It shouldn't be too hard to reproduce for any enterprising current students out there.

The only funny Cal t-shirt that I currently own has a chainsaw on the front and says "Shut up, hippie"

I to this day have a "All bears use condoms" shirt. And yes a bear is, well lets just say there is a bear behind a trojan.

I remember in the 70s the KALX poster ad with the Campanile pointing to a cloud formation in the shape of spread legs. I think the caption said, "Ecstasy". A lot of women were pretty pissed, and they went around the campus tearing down the posters.

i am indeed a current student. and the shirts available to us are very PC and thus boring nowadays. the most outrageous of rivalry shirts would depict Stanfurd being spelled properly w/ a U. THE HORROR...

yeah yawn, and the only use of these current gameday shirts are for going to the gym...

honestly, a bunch of the people in my year say "let's design sick ass shirts, bro", but they always stop short when they think about where they're going to source the shirts from, who will actually design it, if they want/need permission for licensing, etc.

i know i had many shirt designs thought up in my head, but i never had the graphic skills to create it

I don't know about a bear humping a tree exactly but I know of shirt where a bear is peeing on a tree and it can look like the bear is humping the tree.

My fraternity used to make a lot of money making and selling shirts Big Game week (I was there 96-00). And this was before you could design a shirt on the internet in 10 seconds.

Find clip art, make shirts. You'll make money, and collect good karma.

I want the shirt that says "Stanfurd sucks my Campanile" and has oski pulling the tree's head towards his crotch.

Boom! Just need to photo shop a furd hat on the one not leaning against the tree and a cal hat on the other....

My frat made a pretty good amount of money this last year selling shirts. We sold blue tanks,(bro's and ho's love the tanks), with a block C on the front with the Caption "Putting Tree's in their place Since 1892"; the back had a picture of a chopped down tree with a tree wearing our tank, leaning on the axe. We also made a softball tee version for the people who wanted to stay a bit warmer.

The best part about it was seeing people at the RSF and around campus sporting the shirts even after the Big Game.

Yessir you are correct and that is why you should re-read your posts.

I'm in KA. We only made about 200, 120 tanks and 80 softball tees. We sold everything except a few large tanks, and people were still asking to buy them afterward but we ran out of small and mediums really fast.

Graduated 20 years ago KA....just like talking sh*t. I was somewhere between your house, Unit 2, Pike and ATO. Used to party with you boys back in the stone age. Those were different times back then....It's all good and wouldn't trade those memories for anything. Have fun at Cal bro (That stuff ends way too soon) throw some game day footballs between the grass on Piedmont and send the pledges to Top Dog at 2:00 am for me...Hot Link with Russian mustard, dijon and kraut....

Haha thanks but I just graduated this past semester so i'm forced to grow up. You're definitely right about how fast it goes, everyday was different and the guys in the house are true brothers. I'll definitely miss it but I'm glad to be moving on.

And yes pledges are very, very handy and quite entertaining. I'm sure the stuff they did back then was way worse seeing as we got kicked off campus 4 or 5 years after you graduated for reasons I'm sure you can imagine
