Recommendations on good places to go?

Pete's Tavern and its sister establishment, Pedro's, are both fantasti sports bars across the street from AT&T Park.

I would head to Pete's over Pedro's this Thursday. There's going to be a sizable (200+) meetup of geeks at Pedro's at the same time as the Oregon game: http://www.hackersandfounders.com/events/34336172/?eventId=34336172&action=detail

I would recommend against Gordon Biersch. About a year ago the manager there kicked out my friend for cheering too loudly while watching a football game. No profanity or getting in the face of rival fans - just the typical fan cheering and groaning and that's apparently unacceptable. My friends and I closed out our tab, went elsewhere, and I've refused to go back since.

Thanks for the heads up! I was previously going to head to Pedro's but will now go to Pete's instead. I used to frequent the Hackers & Founders meetups (I'm a geeky entrepreneur myself) when it was just a handful of us geeking out over beers. I'll probably swing by during half time to say hello.

Hahaha same here. I actually used to frequent Hackers and Founders. But now that I know they will be there, I may head to Pete's.

We should get a crew together to cheer for Cal.

Awesome! Yeah, I'm up for getting a crew together. We should find out if they will show it on the big screens so we can take over part of the bar.
