I used to check out the eDuck Open Season board periodically, before and after football and basketball games with UO, and had some pretty good discussions with their fans.

However now, while a few of the decent old timers are still there, it now seems mainly populated mainly by churlish, arrogant cretins with fifth grade educations, if that.

Is there a board where one can engage in some good-natured banter with duck fans. or are those days gone?

Liver and I had some fun with Colorado fans on AllBuffs, but maybe that is only because the two schools have not yet had a chance to work up a good healthy hatred for each other.

I agree ... those children on open season are just extremely arrogant and obnoxious. There is virtually no point in trying to have a reasonable discussion with any of them. I would love nothing more than to hear them whine after losing in a few days

Unfortunately most every Duck football forum is trolled hard by Beaver fans who seem to hate the Ducks even more then they like OSU. Reasonable conversations are inevitably sidetracked into the back and forth insultathons. Nothing is up for debate, everything is shouted. Probably most of the participants left standing never went to either school or are still in Jr.High. The Duck forum at the Oregonian (olive.com) is the absolute worst. I joined the Oregon rivals site to filter out that noise but most reasonable minds probably just say this sucks and do something else.

The Eugene Register Guard newspaper has one of the better Duck beat writers (Rob Moseley), and the comments following his articles are generally from good devoted fans. If you're looking for a reflection of what Duck fans are thinking going into this game I'd suggest a stop by there. You can go at them a little and not get flamed.
