Hue Jackson would be glad to have a job as an OC for Mills College right now.

On the Herd this morning there was talk that Jeff Fisher is taking a look at Jackson for the Rams' OC position. Not sure Cal can compete with that.

Can't we poach Oregon's OC? Who is it? Everyone knows it's Chippy but who is the token OC? Maybe we can get him and Tedford can finally let someone run an offense that has merit.

We need a receiver's coach to hold the class and move forward. JT is the OC and we have position coaches for OL and QB. <br /><br />just say'n......

JT has said several times that it's rough on him calling plays on the field. He would rather have spreadsheets and other data spread across the table and watch from the booth. I think he feels it's better to have a person he trusts do that and call the majority of plays (subject to JT's veto of course).

I believe Hue was a pretty good recruiter himself.

Jackson wouldnt be a great choice becuase has shown himself to be a complete mercenary. Every place he has been he has only stayed about 2-3 years before moving on.

In 1996 under Mooch, Hue was Cal's OC. He left to go to USC a little befor Mooch left to go to the 49ers or he might have been our head coach instead of Holmoe. hue wouldn't have been any worse than Holmoe, and most likely better. (Holmoe didn't set the bar too high.)

who will not be an OC. Gould and Coach M will share OC duties. Tedford will even make it sound like we'll run 2004's offense. It will be great.<br /><br />"3rd and 12 and there's another bubble screen for 2. Out to punt again is ..."

this is an opportunity for Tedford to upgrade and not settle for a tread worn, semi-successful guy or one of his old hack buddies from Fresno or any other place in his pre-Cal past - he needs (DESPERATELY) a new, bright, fresh, innovative, creative, gutsy, addition to his staff - something akin to Snyder's hire of Mariucci (sp?)

Or Belloti's hire of Chip Kelly.

We should bring in his defensive line coach Mike Waufle. He coached at Cal in the 90's and did a pretty good job with what the Raiders had. Don't know how good of a recruiter he is, but he is definitely a grade above Lupoi as a coach.
