Had a moment so I thought I'd hunt around looking at flights from LA to Oak for September 1. Anyone have an inkling as to what time the Nevada game might start? I'm guessing 1:30 p.m. so everyone can see the improvements in CMS. Looks like Southwest has bumped their price along with everyone else to a C Note each way. They're no bargain. Delta has the same price.

I assume CMS will be ready for the first game. But never too early to think about the upcoming season...only five months away.

It going to be really hard to guess game times since the TV contracts are all new. Maybe after a few weeks are in complete, people will have more of an idea on how things work. Since Nevada is a first week game, at least the networks won't have to wait to see which teams are up and down in the standing.

I'm counting 8 Pac 12 games scheduled for that Saturday that will fall under the Pac 12 TV package. I would put Cal v Nevada as tied for the #2 best game for TV (after USC v Hawaii and even with SDSU vs UW), but again it's really too soon to know what that means exactly for TV times. UCLA at Rice and Wash St at BYU could be on FSN/ESPN respectively as part of the CONF-USA or BYU football contracts. Colorado State v Colorado is part of the MWC conference package.

The ads start two hours before game time!

Any way, hate the 12-game schedule. No more Labor Day weekend get-away, or I have to give/sell the tickets which has been the case for the past 4 years.

That does suck. For me, the PAC jumped the shark when we added the championship game. Playing furd midway though the season has just nailed the money-first message home.

Hard for me to believe that we would have other than a daytime game on sept.1. People need to become acquainted with the new CMS.

Commish Larry well direct Cal to do whatever the TV contract requires. Just look at the starting time for last year's Big Game. Both ADs were directed to take the late TV time against their wishes.

I think Southwest prices will go through their dip in a few months. Though I'll probably just drive anyway.
