Avery is a very articulate kid. Miller may be the first national guy I have seen ask the right questions. Both are from Georgia and quality guys. Make sense we are recruiting that part of the country.

Sometimes I ask myself, why would a coach let this guy on camera answering questions??

Definitely not the case with our guys.

Almost without exception Cal athletes that are interviewed are articulate. I can't tell you how much that makes me proud of our institution, as well as that particular interviewee. Not so with many schools and it jumps out as so ironical that a college student could be so poorly spoken. Intent obvious on the part of the school.

I hope he enjoys a long NFL career but when that ends he would be a great Cal coach.

Thanks for posting. Avery is a great kid and I agree that (in addition to hitting like a ton of bricks) he has potential to be a coach. I'm glad he's one of our guys.

Sorry, was out of town. During scrimmage Saturday, Yarnway breaks through to the secondary, and absolutely lowers the BOOM on Sebastian - crunch, HIT, NOISE, loud, bowls him over, POW. Reminiscent of Bo Jackson hit on Bosworth. Offensive sideline goes nuts. Everybody saw it, everybody heard it, was crazy. ... So, only about 3 plays later, Yarnway again breaks a little outside, starts to head up the field - and POW no kiddin' it's flamin' Avery-man in there, BANG - nailed him good-hard! Was incredible this-for-that and this time the defensive sideline went nuts. Both these plays were awesome, big hits. The fact that it was Avery this time versus Yarnway like a retaliation basically was too cool. Very, very good sign of things to come IMO. Great plays by both, serious serious hits from serious hitters.
