No, IIRC it comes with Digital Starter even. From what I've heard, if you get ESPN, you'll get the Pac-12 network Norcal channel. I'm sure there's probably a package to get the other 6 channels too, but I haven't heard anything about that yet.

Today's print version would be worth getting for the handy charts that summarize the coverage. But here's a link to the on-line article. Mercury News Article link
edit: I think this link gives the other information I was talking about chart info link
With the all the coverage and camera angles now the whole world will see how bad the Pac-12 officiating is. :headbang

I believe that is correct

Kinda. I used to have the regional sports pack on Dish and then on DirecTV. It's not like I watched Arizona softball or a track meet at UW whenever it was on one of the Fox Sports regional channels I could get. And I don't think I have too much time for a lot of the Cal sports besides football and basketball, but since I assume there'll be more coverage, I may check into more of the premiere match ups.

Hard to get pumped up after COX and every other supplier dropped the package outside of the Pac-12 footprint. :headbang :headbang :headbang

I was super pumped until that news came rolling through in early August. Sucks to be me on the Least Coast.

PRD....don't leave me!!!!

Out of principle I would probably skip on Uverse because of those god-awful annoying commercials I keep seeing where the redneck girl is whining to the kids in the swimming pool. Comcrap is bad, but at least I'm not bothered by them while watching TV.

Other than Cox who else dropped it? Comcast, for instance, does offer it to customers outside the P12 footprint. Time Warner does the same from what I've heard (they are in hawaii right?). Cox was only cable company to make the decision not to offer it outside the footprint, which is stupid on their part to say the least.

I've just asked the P12 if the Network was going to be available outside the US, will report on their answer.

What, you didn't like going to the bars to catch Cal games on satellite?

Just went to the PAC12 site and it said check back in August for the Channel number on Cox in my area. Cox advertises the PAC12 network as part of its football package, but doesn't list a channel number for the network yet. One day to go seems a little late to not have channel numbers. Hopefully they get it figured out by September 1st. Must require a double secret password...

Called Cox in Orange County and talked to a fellow who played for Tedford at Fresno State in the early nineties. Real helpful. So in Orange County it looks like:

Pac 12 Network HD 1078
Big 10 Network HD 1318

Hope this helps...Nothing is up yet, so I will check tomorrow and report, if valid.

Oceanic T-W will carry the Pac-12 national channel in HD and SD plus the remaining six regional channels in SD. Lucky we live in Hawaii, as they say!

Ok. I did that. I have Comcast in my area (SLC). This is what is says

Pac-12 Mountain: 37
Pac-12 Network: 410
Pac-12 Mountain HD: 757

What is the difference between the Pac -12 Network and the Pac-12 Mountain?

Pac 12 Network is the national channel I believe. Look at near the top of the BI page to the left of the yellow banner...you'll see it lists Pac 12 Bay Area in SD and HD and then Pac 12 National...which is the Pac 12 network

Okay, well not South Puna though, unfortunately. That's strictly satellite. Except that the internet available via satellite is spectacular. That will probably help.

Still think there is some wait and see. Punched in my ZIP, Laguna Niguel(50+ miles from LA), and it gives Cox Los Angeles. Not sure, but don't think so.

When I try to go to the channels, they don't exist yet. My Comcast Guide still isn't listing the 2 new channels. Hope they make the changes sometime tonight.

Oceanic T-W started broadcasting a preview clip on the national HD channel from 9 P.M. tonight (Tuesday) here in Honolulu and all of the channels are listed in the program guide. The picture looks awesome!

Right now Cox Cable (and the PAC12 channel finder) are only showing channels for PAC12 Los Angeles, no PAC12 Network channel for my area (Chula Vista). I would assume that the PAC12 Los Angeles regional telecast would be UCLA/USC centric. Thus I could get PAC12 games involving UCLA/USC, but only if they are not on the PAC12 Network (National) broadcast. This would seem to indicate that I will not get any of the Cal PAC12 Network games unless they are playing USC/UCLA and the games are not on the nation-wide PAC12 Network.

Isn't the PAC12 Network the preferred channel if you are out of the region that you want?

Channel 433 which is the Comcast Bay Area SD is playing right now....I'll have to check the HD on the other TV which gets everything....
