Got 2 of these as gifts. Expensive, $59 ea I think...but man... What I wouldn't have given to have had them during the Oregon/USC/Big Game monsoons we've had in recent years.

It's a fleece Cal blanket on one side, but has a built in hood with visor, water resistant on other side, with embroidered Cal logo, outside fleece lined center pocket for hands...this thing is HUGE! Covers your whole body...

Just an FYI. Saw them at the Novato Coscto.
Picnic blanket 364 days out of the year...lifesaver for 1.

I went with the blanket instead of the poncho because it is a little more usefull. Since it is waterproof it would be great for picnics on wet grass, wet benches. The warm/fuzzy side does not absorb water so if it gets wet, it does not make you even more wet.
The graphics are all CAL.

Not sure I understand...you went with the blanket? It is reversible...

Got mine a week ago at concord Costco. They also sell a furd one as well. Sales guy said he was told by one visitor to use the furd ponchos as firewood.

The item comes either as a poncho or as a blanket. Same price.
The poncho has a head covering. The blanket is the same size but minus the opening and covering for the head. Perfect for a couple to huddle under druring the game (rain or shine):nono:

Oh, I didn't know there was an option. The poncho definitely can be used as a blanket, but ya, it wouldn't be as smooth because of the opening/hood. We have enough blankets....what we don't have enough of is stuff to keep me bone dry during the 1 game a year where it decides to dump!
