I was in band, so I stole it from my band friends (they are at the tOSU band practice) facebook

I'm pretty sure they marched into this formation rather than wrote it out like the do Ohio They're more than likely practicing your fight song (they play the opposing team's fight song before every game.

It will be nice to hear how they play Big C or Fight for California. Sorry to say that it might sound better than our own band.

Now I'm starting to understand New Yorkers dislike for Philly... Really? Diss our band? JT, Maynard and Sandy Barbour aren't enough? You wanna clown Oski next?

After the 1950 Rose Bowl against Ohio State University, the Cal Band decided to adopt its present high-stepping style after they discovered their performance looked lackluster in comparison to Ohio State's marching band.

It's a bit of a Midwestern Band tradition to honor the fans of the opposing team by playing their fight song, especially if the opposing school's band is not performing on the field.

I may go to the Aussie tomorrow. Going back and forth between watching in the comfort of home or commiserating with fellow Bears. You?

Flying to C-bus in a bit. I couldn't miss this. Even if we get ran outta dodge.

That's the spirit! Have a great trip. I hope that we pull the upset and you have the time of your life. If that happens, you will return to find me stumbling on the streets of New York in my Cal shirt.

There is a homeless person in hells kitchen who wears a Cal shirt often. I have considered swapping him for a Stanford shirt, the script looks so sad on him.

I think I've seen him! Lol. If you see him before I do, ask him where he got it. Problem with the Furd shirt is that you'd have to pay for one.

I would take one for the team. If we pull the upset, this is my promise. Of course it pales in comparison to Flukes' promise, but we each contribute in our own way.

The only school that does it in the Pac is UCLA. They play Cal's fight song before every game.

Cal has done it for some OOC games at Memorial. I remember the Cal Band doing it for Minnesota in 2006 and maybe for Tennessee in 2007.
