Guess who?

Saturday’s loss to ______ was vintage _______; terrible clock management, getting outcoached and too stubborn to make any adjustments….
In the second half, as ____________ kept dropping back and getting killed by the _________ pass rush, I was wondering why _______ didn’t call a single screen pass. It would have been the perfect play to negate the rush and given the ____________ something to worry about for the rest of the game….
Instead, ________ made no adjustments and continued to stick with a plan that hadn’t worked all night….
He foolishly burned a time out in the 3rd quarter and on the ________ final drive they acted like they had all the time in the world; taking 20 seconds between plays and allowing the clock to wind down….
Again, his lack of clock management and game management skills came back to haunt him….
I know _________ is young, but he’s very stubborn and arrogant about his skills as an offensive “genius” and it doesn’t look like he’s learned anything….
_______ can’t run the ball, their offensive line isn’t very good, the coach is the worst clock manager in college football and ________ won’t be their only loss of the season….

When JT was asked about the choice to go for the field goal he said he made the right decision and did not understand why people were questioning it. Well... we lost. Had we made the field goal we still would have lost. So... in hindsight we lose whether we make or miss the field goal. There is at least one statistical analysis of going for it on 4th down that shows the odds are better going for it. Also this was not 4th and 4+ yards... this was 4th and a foot. The 2 previous 4th plays were dropped passes. If we don't have a number of options to get 4th and a foot I think there should be a change in coaching.

If we don't make 4th and a foot then we end up with the same result. If we do and the odds are that we do make a first down, the clock keeps running down, we have a chance to score a touchdown, and we also have a chance to make a shorter field goal leaving OSU with very little time to score. This seems to me to give us better chances of winning. JT can disagree but his decision did not enable us to win.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I think JT made the wrong call. I said this before he made the call so I don't think I am second guessing hm. It is just consistent with his playing for field goals and hoping we don't give up a touchdown. Hopium is an incredibly addictive drug.
