Arrgh!

Yeah, Luck looked more impressive than Rodgers today, even though I think Rodgers had better stats.

Yikes!

Well, AR had a higher passer rating (>100 compared to ~80 for Luck), but what a 4th quarter comeback drive by the rookie sensation. Is that his first of his career? Too bad the GB kicker missed the 51 yard FG attempt at the end that would have sent it to OT. Poor Rodgers, quite a drop off from last season for the team and for him individually (relatively speaking).

I knew GB would lose when they missed their 2-pt conversion attempt.

Excuses: The Packers lost Cedric Benson, Jermichael Finley and B.J. Raji.

But still: Rodgers, despite throwing 3 TDs (I think), didn't look as fired up and determined to win as Luck.

Luck just had the eye of the tiger. He was not going to be stopped.

Well, next time they meet is in 2016 (barring a Super Bowl, or a trade).

It's fun reading the Packers boards now.

It reminds me of 2008.

There is so much hatred of Rodgers, some of it well-deserved.

But some are calling him a stats-obsessed prima donna who's only interest is in becoming famous and shooting commercials.

Dang.

Rodgers always "looks" the same, win , lose or draw. He is the quintessential Mr. Cool. In the 4th, Indy had great coverage on the Packer receivers, plus a great rush, so AR didn't make the connections. It was obvious that Indy had Mo with them in the 4th, which carried them inexorably down the field...to victory.

Uh, Luck did well against the Packers defense. Don't be misleading.

Rodgers is the first reigning NFL MVP to lose to 2 rookie QBs.

Lets be honest, outside of Rodgers and 1 and 2 receivers the Packers really are not a top tier team

Packers are missing Desmond Bishop too. He was really coming into his own last year.

This is a silly stat. Traditionally rookie QBs didn't play except in rare cases. It wasn't until the last couple decades that players are coming directly from college and stepping on the field.

It's also silly because team wins and losses are not quarterback wins and losses. Aaron Rodgers led his team to the go-ahead TD in the 4th quarter. Then his defense promptly gave it right back.

Didn't you watch week 17 last year when Flynn set team records while Rodgers sat out the game?

Not sure if serious..

It's amazing to me how volatile the packers are on both sides of the ball from year to year. In 2010, the packers were clearly the 2nd best defense in the nfl. In 2011 the defense was one of the worst. In 2011, the offense scored the second most points in nfl history. This year, the offense is really, really lame.

....Teams that live by the pass die by the pass. From what I have seen the Packers have a weak running game and a very bad defense. Dumping all that on Rodgers is pretty chickensh*t stuff.

However, in our sick, me obsessed culture, when fans cheer their own QB getting injured in KC, why would you expect intelligent, civil behavior from a bunch of stupid people in Wisconsin?

That's how he operates. I bet they didn't give a rat's ass when Lord Favre was shooting the stupid wrangler, prilosec, and mastercard commercials.

Too many inbreeds in the midwest ... but the intelligent one knows Rodgers didn't mis the tackle on Wayne, and nor did he miss the two FGs.

:rollinglaugh:

That said, the team isn't really a playoff team. They have many holes on both sides of the ball, including an anemic O-line and zero pass rush. Hmmm isn't this where our problem is at as well?
