Can 1 man coach the Oline and be the OC?

I actually feel bad for Maynard. He doesn't have a real OC, and he plays behind an Oline whose position coach moonlights as the OC. The offensive coaching staff is a jumbled mess.

Anyone notice that Tedford had his laminated play sheet with him today. Didn't he not have it against WSU? I guess Arroyo couldn't be trusted with the big game.

The defense play hard. I feel bad for the players. The coaches are f*cking things up.

It seemed like we went back to predictable play calling--Sofele up the middle on first down out of the shotgun. Empty backfield on 3rd and 2? At least have a running back in there to maintain the threat of a run (and use play action), or if you are going empty back field, have Maynard run.

One man may be able to, but Jim Michalczik can't.

I think a few years ago, Tom Cable of UCLA did that OL coach/OC pretty well.

Coach M is given the title of OC so his salary could be raised. He is not the OC in terms of running the Offense.

The fact that we don't know who our OC is or who is calling the plays says a lot about the dysfunction we see play out on the field.

4th quarter drive with the clock running down and we run the ball then hurry to the line before looking at the sideline, rearranging and after burning the entire play clock run the ball right up the middle into the strength of the defense.

So did Arroyo call this game? Because it stunk. Running Isi on first down every time from the shotgun with our line missing blocks?

Tedford had his laminated card out this game.

Burning that laminated card would be worth 2 wins

Lots of very puzzling things on offense. Even though the Stanford D-Line was owning our O-Line, we continued to go with five wide/empty backfield. I have to think an extra TE blocking or a blocking RB in the backfield would have helped a little.

Also, the organization on our final drive was abysmal. Looked like we were trying to bleed clock as we drove inside the Stanford 10.
