I saw the Stanford spring game and the Colorado spring game.
My two cents:
Colorado will be better than last year but they still have a long, long way to go. I thought Cal looked pretty unimpressive in our Spring game--high snaps, penalties etc.--but the Buffs looked way worse. Richardson, their super speedy wide receiver, is their only scoring threat. Their quarterback options were not impressive--perhaps none would even make our top three. No dominant running back either.
Stanford. Oh crap. They looked like they were in midseason form. Their defense is big, mean and smothering. Their QB is far better at this point than any one of our three (Klingergoff). I know he started for half of last season but just saying. Stanford has three reliable and sturdy running backs and an O line which looks pretty good even though they lost some guys. Their only real weakness is at wide receiver (which is fortunate since we are thin in the secondary).
Caught a little of the ASU spring game and they also looked pretty good. Colorado and WSU may be the only weak teams in the conference.
