I know i wouldn't want to be a linebacker in that scenario.

'I know i wouldn't want to be a linebacker in that scenario.'

The linebacker, #8, stepped out of the way. Didn't look like it was out of fear.

if you are a 230 lbs line backer would you like to see a 350 lbs Lineman running at you in full speed?

The playcard says #33 is a better bet down on the goal line.

He needs to produce as a starter first before we put him somewhere else.

You realize this was a "play" similar to the Marshawn Lynch "play" we ran in the spring scrimmage - right? There is a reason teams don't use a fat defensive lineman as a RB in the goal line offense - not quick, can't jump, can't cut, and there are 5 guys just like him lined up on the defensive line!

Not trying to hijack this thread, but maybe "shape" it a bit (in a better way than the above visual did)...

Question: If the previous administration (and we can only blame stuff on them for a tiny bit longer) had been a little more flexibile, more visionary, less rigid in their ideas and decisions, would Moala be a pre-season all-conference (even all-America?) at, say guard?

And what about Coleman at OT?

I don't think so. Coach M was a pretty astute line coach. Their OL issues last year were brought about more by injuries than anything. One of the traits that OL HAVE to have is discipline - most kids that end up playing defensive line are there in part because that trait is not one of their strong points.

we'd be better off putting a TE or maybe one of our backup guards to lead block if not a fullback. guards are used to pulling and finding a block, TE's are used to finding the block off the line, moala may be big, but hes probably just as likely to fall down and block the hole, let alone find the linebacker to block, whose going to try to avoid the block.

I would of mashed him, seriously. He was like a big whale with shoes. He had no acceleration thus, his force was a mere illusion.

That said, I've seen Tiny run ( See punt catching drill last year) and hes got some speed for his size. He's who I wouldn't want to go against.

Hahahaha..Tedford will receive blame for years, just like previous coaches we read about in here..See? He's already being blamed for Moala not being All Pac 12 last year..How much time to we give Dykes before we start blaming him????
