Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm thankful that we will (most likely) have a better season next year!

but I'm not feeling well.
Ironically it's my digestion and I haven't eaten anything yet and probably won't be. But I'm not going all Eeyore over it. Plus it's been a problem for a while.

Anyway

I want to thank all the folks on BI who have participated in educating me. I always learn a great deal here, even though it is not always pleasant. I also genuinely want to thank the coaching staff for trying their best. I especially want to thank the players for not giving up and maintaining good character during a tough season. I want to thank the pac-12 officials for making that occupation very reachable to all of us.

In a very strange way, this was a satisfying year. It seemed that many issues got brought forward and we began to reach consensus on the challenges as we move forward. I genuinely feel some sort of foundation has been set, even if we had to reach rock bottom in the process. Hopefully in future years we will be giving thanks for the results of that.

Blessings.

p.s. Thanks for all the great humor you provide. There are quite a few good comics on here and we all owe you our gratitude for keeping us sane.

p.s.s I'm typing this on a new iMac and I'm loving it.(LOL-apparently the new computer does not prevent me from making toys, er, I mean typos.

Edit: There is a principle of nature which is that the positive attracts the negative. Could it be that we have experienced so much negative this year because of the positive energy that Cal is, essentially? The extreme this year shows that the negativity is finally getting washed away. That is what happens (extreme negativity) before the positive can truly take form. The arrogance of folks like furd and the comical are a reflection of the world's ignorance of the true nature of what is happening at Cal. It is like when the pine cones germinate only after a major forest fire.

Most of the world can't see it. But I can see it. Having studied under some top eastern teachers, I know that the positive is coming at Cal. That positive force is more powerful than the particulars of who is or isn't coaching or who is occupying the ADs office.

You can see the symptoms of this positive in the rising academics and the fact that some of our best players are freshmen and sophomores. We forget that almost our entire starting receiving core, the strength of the team, were underclassmen. The new sprouts of Cal's future have arrived. Please let them grow. Thanks

Thanks Heart (Dan) for your energy, sensitivity and humor. You have stepped up to add a lot of class to this Board. Pamper yourself and get well.

May you each dine at Boston Market, grab a Long Island Iced Tea at Albany Bowl, and have a great conversation with Don.

Yes, and thank you and your wife for the great pre game get togethers on Prospect. That brown deck is very lonely when you aren't there. You are the real heart of the bear. I'm actually looking forward to some good football next year, and I even include the home team in that. Have a great off season and Holiday period.
