Former DC Lou Spanos has accepted the LB coach gig for the Tennessee Titans. He came to UCLA after being the LB coach for the Washington Redskins.

I will gladly drive Buh down to get rid of him. What was Dykes thinking when he hired him?

Clancy would be a good fit - would not even have to move................

Jeff Ulbrich will likely be promoted.

SDSU's linebackers coach Tony White (a UCLA alum) is also rumored to be joining the staff. There's also a prominent SoCal high school coach that resigned this year. He might be coming on as well

I've actually heard Clancy's name being bandied about for the Stanford DC job. Derek Mason might make Lance Anderson the DC at Vandy (if Shaw doesn't do that first).

Chris Ault also said Buh was the best DC he ever had at Nevada.

People like to bash on Buh because its easy and comfortable to do, but Big is not the reason we were slower, weaker, and generally less talented than everybody else. He didn't help minimize that problem - he exacerbated it - but it doesn't mean Buh could not have some success under the right circumstances. Results are often misleading when judging coaches. But as fans who aren't privy to their day to day work, its what we tend to do

To the extent he insisted on putting us in a 4-3 for which our personnel were not suited, he was responsible for us being slower. I actually SD's the one who wanted the 4-3 which is why he hired Buh. I think SD is a bigger problem than Buh.

Buh was LB coach at Wisconsin before coming here. It is also interesting that Stanford, Vandy (=via a Stanford LB coach hire), and UCLA are all promoting LB coaches to DC's.
