Why? U$C's only bad loss was to UW, the drunk game. ND and Furd are both good teams.

Meanwhile tough to tell which was Utah's most difficult game: Oregon, Cal or ASU.

Utah is ready for a tumble but I hope they pummel U$C, soften them up for Cal.

I remember when Kiffin was fired and Coach O became interim, they were unranked and had a HUGE win against highliy ranked Stanford. Utah survived close games the past two weeks at home and USC actually played well on the road against a very good ND team.

Im putting a grand on utah.

Utah dominated the 4th quarter versus Arizona State, USC will be drained after the Notre Dame trip. On the other hand, USC is way too talented to be 3-3, and aside from Washington have looked decent even in the losses to Furd and the Domers. If Utah plays well and Booker gets going they should win, Utah's defense is underrated, but USC will break out eventually and might get this one. I think the Utes are going to be very focused now that they are in line for the Playoff, the backend of their schedule is pretty soft and they will have a good chance for it if they get past this weekend.

This may well have been mentioned the week of Utah game and I missed it. Anyway at lunch someone asked me about Whittingham and I pulled up his bio and record. The guy is 8-1 in Bowl games. You give him extra time and he is trouble - I knew the bye week the Utes had before hosting Cal but I did not know what this guy typically does with extra time- point being, another reason why the loss to the Utes does not seem as bad the further you look at it.

Yah they look like a different team with Adams. Lucky for us.

Oregon had Vernon Adams AND Darren Carrington back versus Washington and still looked like a mess, more competent than prior games but still not very good. They will improve though.

It will be SC taking away Booker and daring Wilson to pass vs. Utes pummeling the entire SC O. The SC WRs will survive the manhandling well enough to eke out a win. This one will be brutal. If Utes hit Kessler more than once, all bets are off.

Which quarterback is the better defender? (They gave up 62).

The Utes are due for their truly "bad" game - it's time for that plus I don't they have ever won at the Coliseum? But if SC loses this one - I predict the circling of the toilet just in time for us!!!

SC being favored in this game makes a lot more sense than UCLA being favored in our game. Money on Utah seems like a smart bet

I am a BIG Cal fan; but I disagree. It makes sense for UCLA to be favored over Cal. Playing at home where Cal has had a lot of trouble winning favors ucla.
Playing at Cal, Cal would be favored.

That said I still think Cal has a good chance to pull out a "W" and Cal Fan half of my brain says Cal can win big. But the "realist" half of my brain says it would be an upset for Cal to win.

Utah is well coached. I think they beat USC easily.

Utah is a very disciplined hard hitting team. They don't make a lot of mistakes. This is the type of team that USC crumbles against. Their offense gets impatient and their D just doesn't get enough pass rush to cause problems. They are gonna get beat

Kessler looked really uncomfortable v. the UW pass rush. Utah's is similar, and with better DBs.

It will be uU's coaching over $uSC's talent by 13+.

A good defense makes up for bad play. Their defense will shut down SC. Also, SC is terrible against the run, and that Utah RB can play.

I hate USC but try and get your kid in there without any legacy..it's alot harder..I am guessing that overseas money also counts more these days..

Her choice. She got into Cal but chose USC based on how she was treated by the respective undergrad business schools. It looks like she will be working for Google or Deloitte. So much for the accuracy of the insults and hate posted on this board. Oh, and she loved her 3 1/2 years there so far. But I did steadfastly refuse any decals on my car or apparel and sat in the Cal section at the two games at the Coliseum. She plans on getting her MBA at Haas.
