I wonder if they are driven by wanting more revenue from concessions and are using Safety as an excuse. People will get in fights regardless of tailgating.

I take the capitol corridor Amtrak to the Great America station every weekday for commuting and leave a "beater" car in the VTA lot to get back and forth to work. They are closing this COMMUTER lot (it's never used for stadium parking) from now until February 12th because of freaking Super Bowl 50, a ONE DAY event.

I would love for Levi's to lose it's "green" status just based on how may more cars they'll be putting back on the road...

I've lived in Texas so long this is so foreign to me. An entire culture in the South is built around people just paying for parking and then setting up their massive trailers, tents, and TV's to just watch the game. No need to have game tickets at all.

The real serious tailgaters I have known had season tickets. Maybe this is another move aimed at reducing the fan base in order to break the stadium contract and leave the area. What every football team needs is to chase out the die hard fans. If the Chargers tried this San Diego would have kicked them out before they could sneak out. The stupidity that has become the SF Bay Area 49ers is boundless.

Good point, this is grounds for a lawsuit to get out of seat licenses if this was done after the fact?
