Are there any great sports bars in Berkeley or North Oakland that I can take my Texas family to before the game? Also looking for a tailgate if anybody is offering (I'll gladly pay for the 6 of us!).

RIP Bear's Lair (no, that weird place calling itself Bear's Lair is an impostor).

Check out Drakes Dealership in Uptown. They take reservations and the beer garden is pretty dope.

Next to campus, Henry's (and the beer garden) will likely be a **** show. Same with Tap Haus. Not sure how family friendly that will be. Free House was being remodeled over summer, I would call them up and see if it's ready for this weekend. I had heard "first home game". Pappy's is always packed with visitors and they have all the games on, but again, it's packed. Forget about getting a table outside unless you're staking it out early.

Bear's Lair sucks unless you want a wine and cheese vibe. Most of the other downtown Berkeley bars are more of a hipster specialty cocktail or craft beer vibe.

I checked in with Raleigh's but it appears to still be under construction.

I miss the old Raleigh's.
