How long do you want to ignore this user?
About 15-20 years ago I bought the Danbury Mint Memorial Stadium replica. Moving soon and looking to sell it...anyone else remember this or pick one up? I can't find them for sale anywhere but I know Memorial went quick and I haven't seen them since. Anyone know what the value would be in mint condition? Appreciate it...

My initial reaction was that I thought the stadium had sold naming rights...

For those who don't know what he's talking about, it's this:

There was a time when I'd probably want it, but I don't have the space to display it.

A few years ago, they gave season ticket holders an inferior (if I recall) model of Memorial Stadium. Anybody have any pictures?

By the way, on eBay, this massive statue is on sale for a good price.

Again, I'd buy it if I had the display space. But I have way too much Cal stuff:

I'd love to have it but i dont know how much to pay for it or how much it is worth. How big is it?

I wonder if BI could make some money by setting up a buy/sell mechanism for BI people to sell & buy their Cal memorbilia, tickets, jersies tried on in the ASUC aisles, etc. Maybe set up a "Bear Insider Cal Marketplace"

I bought them years ago on eBay. It wasn't an impulse buy. I've wanted both for years. The tall one came up first. Then the shorter one came up a few years later.

I found the origin of those banks in a Stanford blog on the 1968 Big Game program.

I think they sold for several years in the late 60s.

If you look closely at the picture below, those Oskis look slightly different from mine.

Alumni Association Memorial stadium silver etching. circa 1970

Issued late 70's ? They did at least four scenes. The Greek, The Stadium,

Sather Gate, and the Campanile The first three have a dark blue background,

But the Campanile had a dark, Stanfurd Red background.

Gotta say if you are collecting cal tchotchkes, this commercially produced Aaron Rodgers bobblehead

Looks a hell of a lot better than the giveaway bobblehead

the latter gives me vibes of this:

I have one also--my wife gave it too me--looking at different web sites, I would venture that the going price now would be between $69.99-$79.99. That seems to be the asking price for other Danbury Mint Stadiums. Being Cal, I would put it at the lower price.

You're right. I've always hated that Cal giveaway bobblehead of AR. Doesn't look anything like him. I just ordered the other one pictured.

I still cherish my Tony Gonzalez bobblehead with his name spelled incorrectly.

I have the expensive ($50 or so) Rodgers bobblehead. I considered buying the giveaway one, but I just couldn't pull the trigger. Same reason I don't have a Goff bobblehead. I'd be willing to spend the $30-$40 if it looked decent.

Great idea.
A few years ago I was surfing the web and ran across a miniature replica of the bear that stands in front of CMS. The next night I tried to find it again but had no luck. Would love to see what other Cal memorabilia is out there.
It would also provide a valuable resource for Old Blues (or their heirs) who are trying to downsize. Provide a good home for your Cal memorabilia with Cal fans who would appreciate them.

I had a sweatshirt from the 1975 Garden State Bowl in which we lost to Temple. Probably would command a huge price today, but the insignia wore out in the wash.

Considering the result, how appropriate.
