Nine days from today, Rodgers was scheduled to go battle Mahomes on NBC's Sunday Night Football for the first and maybe last time.

But it's not going to happen due to Mahomes' injury.

So the next time they are scheduled to meet will be the season when Rodgers turns 40. Unless they're in the Super Bowl.

This game will also be Rodgers' chance to win at Arrowhead for the first time. Last time he played at Arrowhead, in 2011, the Packers were 13-0 and lost to the Kyle Orton-led Chiefs. The Packers finished 15-1 that season.

Bummer, Mahomes is a blast to watch. Would have loved to see an AR / Mahomes shootout. I always thought AR had the best NFL arm I'd seen, but Mahomes is on yet another level.

That said, its not all bad... my fantasy teams' postseason prospects improve measurably if he's on the bench.
