Would be comforting to hear of some effort and progress in the transfer portal. Anybody know anything?

Getting recruiting news from Fox is like trying to get Cold War political updates from Tass.

Depends on how the Dartmouth roster shakes out.

Tanner Groves from Eastern Washington is in the transfer Portal. 6'9". Laid 35 on Kansas in the tournament.

I thought the problem for Cal (and Fox) is that there are few, if any, scholarships (as yet) available. Unless more players leave the program (e.g. Klonaras?), the only spot is Bradley's. Normally, you might see Betley and Foreman move on - or even expected them to move on. But they don't have to move on.

Foreman and Betley don't count against next year's limit. If they return (Foreman has said he will; Betley undecided), it is by mutual agreement between them and the staff.

If Drew Timme had any shame, he would resign from the Zags as punishment for getting schlonged by Baylor and transfer to Cal as a form of purging penance.

We have at least Bradley's maybe more.

Maybe Shareef's son Jabri? 4 star 6'7" small forward, had offers from nearly everyone, signed with Virginia but is transferring out after getting minimal PT this year.

Legacy and could take Bradley's spot. Would get 38 minutes a game. 2 minutes to rest.

Thanks. So, who does count? I see 13 scholarships for next year without Bradley. But, I think maybe Anticevich doesn't count?

It would be necessary for him to do some serious 'manscaping' to be considered here.

Was that the final straw (or bun) for Vanover?

Correct. Anticevich may return next season without it counting against our 13.

The only openings we have are...
- Bradley's spot (if he actually leaves)
- Anybody else from your list above who might decide to leave for whatever reason.

As I have said before, the roster is loaded with mediocre talent. (No disrespect to any of the guys, who try hard, are good Golden Bears and hundreds of times better at basketball than I ever was.)
