50-44 UCLA with a little more than 10 minutes left. Probably in the minority here, but I can't decide who I'm rooting for; I like both teams. A week ago, I would've said UCLA, but the Gaels are hard to dislike (though I have tried my best).

Both these teams pass really well and have multiple players who can shoot at least pretty well. I have to wonder if we ever considered trying that?

It seemed to come down to something as simple as "making the shots". UCLA is a master of getting and making the mid-range shot. Cronin is a really good coach. Past UCLA coaches, post-Wooden, have had a hard time getting their flashy players to buy in to doing the little things that help a team win. I'll be rooting for them against North Carolina. Hopefully Jaquez will be okay.

One thing I like to do when watching games is to judge shot selection. I say "forced" or "good shot" the second the ball leaves the player's hands.

I can't tell you how many times I have labeled a Tyger Campbell or a Jaime Jaquez Jr. shot "forced" and they drop. Those guys are phenomenal.
