Credit Missouri too: I loved the Dennis Gates hire in March and love it more now.

Tigers now 12-1, blowout wins over Illinois + Kentucky with an identity of skill and toughness.

The Missouri Tigers have to be one of the best stories in college basketball this season! Dominated Illinois, and beat Kentucky by 14! Dennis Gates has to be on all early lists for Coach of the Year! Kobe Brown scored 30 for Mizzou!

Meanwhile, Mark Fox and Cal are 1-12 this season. Fox is 35-70 at Cal, including 15-45 in the Pac-12.

Watching Gates is far worse. We got rid of Sonny for a reason, and I'm fine with it.

Agreed. Sonny had no business being at Cal, and it showed.

Fox and Knowlton, now THAT is a whole 'other big pile of @#$% that should have never happened.

Cal's crappy teams in both sports have sucked the joy of watching any teams in either sport. I usually go to the first couple rounds of the NCAA tournament when it's in Sac, but I just can't seem to care. Damn you, Fox.

Gates is a Cal alum who wanted this job. Dykes is a carpetbagger from Texas.
