As far as I can tell, the COVID extension does add to the buyout and the talent fee still escalated- 1.6M for the added year, compared to 1.45 and 1.525 the two years prior. May be reading it wrong so feel free to check and correct me. The COVID addendum is the third doc

Yes. The other key I see is if Fox is fired before April, Cal will owe him 100% of this year, 100% of next year and 75% of the final year (I thought it was 50%).

The list of work standards to avoid termination for cause is interesting. I'm sure Fox would blow off the post game press conference if it were not a material breach of his contract that would cost him $millions.

First time I saw him visibly upset at a presser when the media asked him about injuries to Jalen Celestine. First of all, why even ask except to badger the guy -- we all know Celestine was unlikely to play this season yet he was kept on the DNP list as if he could have been available. Of all the things to keep asking him about. Ask him why he is so disappointed in the defense when he is responsible for coaching the defense.

I think we should apply the tree falls in the woods metaphor here. If Fox attends the press conference but there are no fans left to witness it - did it really happen?

Breach of contract - terminate his ASS!
