You need a mix, but to your point, deadeye shooters are deadeye shooters even if they play for small schools in lower leagues. They can be initially identified by searching the statistics. That is part of the "nerd ball" Kyle Smith brought to St. Mary's, Columbia, San Francisco and now WSU. It is also how they found Samahan, a great center that did not "look" the part. As Moneyball pointed out, coaches put a at too much stock in "appearance" (for example Andre Kelly should have been a starter from day one).
