Carr scored 23 points in a row to lead Redwood to a come from behind victory over Acalanes last night in a NCS D1 quarterfinal game

Impressive, because Acalanes is a very good team

I cannot wait to see TT wearing Cal's blue and gold next season

It was a very impressive performance. I've seen him play quite a few times and this was the best IMO just given the competition. Acalanes tried very hard to get the ball out of his hands all night. He scored the first 10 points of the game for Redwood (surprised he is credited with scoring only 23 because he had quite a few free throws (8-10), hit a 3 and a couple of drives in the 2nd half in addition to the first 10 points of the game) and when he was beating the defenders on the drive, Acalanes went to a zone. He scored on a couple of drives and offensive rebounds late in the game to put it away. The offensive rebounds were impressive given the height disparity. He missed more free throws during the game than he usually does but hit them down the stretch.

Redwood was without its starting center and Acalanes is tall. #4 on Acalanes is a good player and was hot (4-5 3s at least). TT's basketball IQ is very high and his quickness/change of direction (with the ball) and leaping ability are elite. Think Paris Austin with the ball, hops like Wilkinson but not as strong as Jeremiah (though TT can go left and right, and can finish with either hand). Shot is a bit flat but effective. Probably had 3-4 steals too, including one with about :30 left to close things out. What I like about him is his motor. He goes hard and always guards the other team's best player. Towards the end of the game, he had his shot blocked when the shot clock was about to expire, the other guy took off with the ball and TT ran after him and then laid out to knock it away (TBH, I thought it was a foul) to regain possession. I think Redwood might have been up 5 or so at the time with about a minute left.

To give you a sense of his hops, in the previous game, Redwood ran an alleyoop for him and he took off from pretty far away to grab it and slam it home with two hands. IMHO, he is a significant upgrade over Blacksher. Taller. Quicker. Better hops.

Edited: just saw you said he scored 23 in a row. Yeah, that sounds more like it.

Whoa whoa whoa! Baby steps!

Can he shoot at all?

And yes, he can. Better than literally anyone on the roster, sadly.

Yes, he can. I wouldn't call him a dead eye 3 shooter.
