Can't they enter the portal? Look at the guys that left recently before playing a down. They must have signed NLIs as well? It def does not seem to be as common though with freshmen, once they sign.

So we know who has decided NOT to leave, but those who entered can still be up in the air.

So who knows about Stoja? And do the people we signed really mean much until next season. Can they still find a higher bidder?

Sagapolutele signed with Oregon then portaled back to Cal before his freshman season began. So yeah, you are always recruiting.

Good point and he was already going to classes wasn't he? So basically anyone can do anything.

The Portal is a marketplace with rules. There are good reasons to go there when it is open to buy or sell, but when it closes people are still free to buy or sell outside of the marketplace. They just have to do more of their own legwork.
