Looks like we're at K-State on Nov. 13th:

Very winnable road game for us. K State lost to the likes of Wichita St, Ok St., TCU and Colorado, all 86 and higher on KenPom. For some reason they seem to have not lost a lot of players to the portal, if you believe the ESPN roster

Beating K State in Manhattan is tough, even for good experienced teams. This is going to be a very tough game for us to win.

Go Bears!

With today's release of the Empire Classic matchups, we are now at 4 non-conference games that have been released:

11/13 @ Kansas St.
11/18 Presbyterian
11/21 Sacramento St.
11/25 UCLA (@ Chase Center)

They were #65 in Ken Pom and while they lost to a few teams #86 and higher, we were #110 and they also beat teams #50 and lower. This will be comparable to many of our ACC road games last year. We were 1-9 on the road in the ACC last year. We also lost at Missouri and Vanderbilt. Will we be improved from last year? That is the big question.

I'm going to go ahead and say that this roster is highly inaccurate considering it includes Dai Dai Ames, who was last at Kansas State in '23/24 and who will be playing for us next season.

The Cal roster on ESPN still has Askew, Newell , Bowser, Brown, Celestine and Okafor. What a joke! Of course it is a 27 man roster. The Worldwide Sports Leader!

I only wish Cal was relevant enough in basketball that ESPN would feel compelled to fix that posted roster. For that matter, I wish somebody on the Cal AD staff who has "media" as part of their job description checked the posted roster on ESPN to ensure it's accurate. Silly me . . . expecting people to do their d@mn jobs.

Kansas State has only a partial roster posted on its website, while the 2025-26 NCAA Scholarship Tracker (Google spreadsheet) has not updated CJ Jones withdrawing from the portal and returning, and includes a couple of other errors.

So here's the exclusive, I guess: the Kansas State Wildcats 2025-26 Roster.

Last year of eligibility

6-5 guard CJ Jones (18.8 mpg in 2024-25)

6-7 forward Marcus Johnson (31.4 mpg at Bowling Green)
6-3 guard Nate Johnson (30.2 mpg at Akron)
6-8 forward Khamari McGriff (19.3 mpg at UNC Wilmington)
6-8 wing Tyreek Smith (19.2 mpg at SMU, 2023-24)

2 years of eligibility

6-6 guard Mobi Ikegwuruka (8.0 mpg)
6-7 wing Taj Manning (2.6 mpg)

6-7 guard Abdi Bashir Jr (33.2 mpg at Monmouth)
6-3 guard PJ Haggerty (36.6 mpg at Memphis)

3 years of eligibility

6-1 guard David Castillo (10.0 mpg)

4 years of eligibility

6-6 guard Andrej Kostic (Serbia)
6-8 forward Elias Rapieque (Germany)
6-1 guard Exavier Wilson (USA)

6-10 center Stephen Osei (21.2 mpg at Casper JUCO; will redshirt 2025-26)
