Would be really nice to have him for the trip . Of course we have Jeff Super Powers so I am not sure we need him ;-)

Out against Oregon and OSU; no telling when he will return according to MM per Furado. But Kreklow may be ahead of schedule

I'd be really surprised if he isn't able to start practicing next week and then play in at least the WSU game on the 18th. He was out of the boot on Thursday which would give him 2 weeks out of the boot which seems about right.

that's fine. I'm assuming a split at Oregon regardless; and we should be able to handle UW and WSU without him. The operative word being "should." UW is doing its best Oregon St. football impersonation.

Apparently no info is available on the type or extent of the sprain.

High ankle sprains can take nearly two months to heal...

Hopefully, Jabari's is not so severe.

Go Bears!

I just read where high ankle sprains require boot support for 6 weeks, so it is really good news that Bird is out of his boot already.

Still, it can be 4-6 weeks till he can resume basketball activities.

Ugh!

Go Bears!

Did they announce a high ankle sprain? It looked like low ankle lateral.

Todd McKim said during pregame on radio that although he started to do exercises he hasn't practiced yet and MM said probably out vs Washington schools next week.

He did play briefly as I recall, but I didn't see him do anything.

He was in for about a minute, it seemed. He's not quick enough to keep up with oregon players in man defense, which is what we played all game.

Powers is a zone player - He plays when the other team zones us and he plays best when we're in a zone on defense. Oregon was not his match up.
