Montgomery made several comments that he supports DeCuire being named his successor. But he has to know that the likelihood of them naming a successor without top-level head coaching experience has to be pretty small, but at the very least it comes through as a strong recommendation for DeCuire to get a head job somewhere.

The only thing that Sandy said about her timetable to hire a replacement was that she wanted to do it expediently.

I think he is a great analyst, which is the gig he had after the Warriors and before Cal. I don't care for the snarky Stanford like dig on brother Bill, however. Since I love speculation, my guess is he was sick and tired of the AAU culture which is responsible for the rapidly declining basketball IQ of the modern player (as continually pointed out by Don MacLean during his broadcasts), tired of losing games because players won't do as instructed, and fed up with players getting injured in their apartments.

Since you love speculation, and this is pure speculation: you know it is the result of misbehavior since no explanation has been given. Perhaps a just conclusion to his career.

I wonder if there will be an end of season awards night for the team (e.g.: Cobbs MVP). How does that get handled?

In years past malcontents don't show up for the team banquet. We will see if there are any no shows this year.
