6'2" combo guard Dylan Ennis (brother of former Syracuse star Tyler Ennis) has transferred to Oregon, and since he graduated from Villanova, will be eligible to play next season. He averaged 9.9ppg and 3.5apg at 'Nova . . .

How many times did he get busted while at Villanova? Don't the ducks only take on transfers with priors???

He's already been accepted in the M.A. program in sneaker lace tying.

I don't believe Ennis ever got into any trouble at Villanova. Did I miss something?

He was a good player at Nova.
Does this mean that he and that other dude we were recruiting are going to be their 1 and 2 guards?
Who else they got?

Dillon Brooks is their best returning player.

I suspect Ennis will start at PG (with Kendall Small being the backup), with Casey Benson at the 2.

They are in the running for Jamal Murray, who may reclassify to 2015.

Jamal Murray is a beast ! He's the most impressive high school guard I have seen since Kyrie .

And he is taking a very unique approach to the whole recruiting game. From staying in Canada instead of going to a US prep school, to not playing AAU this summer, to not publicly announcing his visits. Will be very interesting to see which school he picks.

"That other dude" is Tyler Dorsey, and I wouldn't be surprised if he starts (but I thought he wanted to play point?).

He does want to play point. However, he signed. So now Altman, with his questionable character, can do whatever he wants!!!! Your choice Tyler...

Plus the guard from the prior year who was a Cal commit before Martin took over.

He was a double transfer, started his college career at Rice, which means he transferred on Ben Braun.

This is a really good pickup for Wh*regon. Ennis was likely going to go to Duke, but they landed the no 1 pg in the country in Derryck Thornton. Ennis is transferring because Jay Wright was going to move him over to SG full time, as 5* pg recruit Jalen Brunson (Rick Brunson's son) is going to be Villanova's starting PG next year.

I wouldn't say that Ennis is a true PG in the mold of Chris Paul, but he's a very good defender due to his bball IQ, length and athleticism. He has a lot of experience playing SG too. My guess is that Tyler Dorsey will handle the ball quite a bit, since he doesn't excel as much when the ball isn't in his hands.

I don't have a problem with the graduate transfer rule - it's essentially the reverse one and done, but is actually better. It rewards athletes for graduating early.

Actually Dorsey didn't sign I don't think. He's the guy who sparked some debate last month on the LOI issue. So technically he's probably free to bail if he wants, but I doubt he will.
