Just clicked on ESPN...its 61-12 UConn..at halftime. I don't think I've ever seen a halftime score like that. Gotta be a record for a Sweet 16 game lol.

There is something deeply wrong with women's hoops right now. SMART people would step back and think about this. UCONN's dominance isn't good for drawing fan interest - here you have a team (Miss state) that has done well and then gets crushed like a Sat. rec league game where the 7 year olds are playing against the 12 year old all starts. Who would travel to see that (and most importantly keep the game on the TV set as opposed to watching animal channel).

Not sure what the answer is but not good for the game. I thought that with the rise of the WNBA it would help - because at some point there are more spots in the league than UCONN has scholarships for.

Seriously, does anyone watch this sport if their friends or children are not playing? Had my daughter played basketball rather than volleyball, things might have been different for me. Because I would watch my daughter play whatever sport she played, and my son too. But I find womens' basketball unwatchable. It is NOT markedly different than it was twenty years ago. On any given night, the lower seed has almost no chance for an upset. I do not believe womens' basketball can attract a casual fan.

I am grateful that many of you support it financially and with your attendance, because you are supporting Cal.

The reason that Connecticut is so outrageously dominant is because something weird is going on in Storrs. Teams can be good, but no one is THAT good.

No. Cmon. It's the same reason Tennessee was so good before Auriemma came around. There's very little elite WBB talent. And when one team is able to horde it all, it's really easy to be good.

Are you serious? Sorry to bring in some facts here, but take a look at the current bracket. In two of the four elite eight games, a 4 seed is playing a 7 seed. There have been some big upsets and some good games. There is more talent to go around now.

UConn's dominance is still a problem. They are the real exception. It's not longer just four or five schools owning the final four. There are more with a shot.

I can't stand UConn and Gino. He had starters still in near the end of the 3rd quarter with a 60 point lead. They never kept pushing the ball up. Starters or non starters, they never milked the clock.

If you've been watching Gino and UCONN over the years, youd come to the conclusion that they ARE THAT GOOD.

Texas played UCONN a lot tougher.
Mississippi State was a joke.
