Actually CT, the issue that younger women are reporting is that if they want to be taken seriously at anything they HAVE to wear sexy clothes and look alluring or as they put it, always be hot. Not attractive. Not pretty. Not well groomed. Hot. And many are avoiding leadership roles or anything that puts them in the public eye because of it. That is the real problem with people campaigning that the only thing young men are interested in is the relative curviness of the "female". And if you don't believe that, just look at the comments on our own board, some by people I respect, about Katie Ledecky, who is a perfectly normal looking woman who can present just fine but doesn't have the ability to swim in an Olympic event and come out of the pool in a state of hotness. After amazing accomplishment what some people choose to comment about is her supposedly looking better with cap and goggles on than she does without.

People that don't want to acknowledge the impact this has on our young women and girls have their heads in the sand. Again, it is not about posting cheesecake pictures. (personally, I didn't have an issue with the Death Watch Hottie Thread) Women have every right to enjoy being alluring if they choose. It is about a message that this is all that is valued to the point of selling that going to Cal opens the doors to dumb, attractive schools from lame schools chasing you.

I'd also say that if anyone really believes that posting pictures of random women on a sports board will bring recruits to Cal they are fooling themselves. And there is no way we can compete with Texas on that score as Shaggy has legions willing to do that all day long. And frankly, if I were a recruit, I would think that a creepy old dude posting pictures of my girlfriend on a sports board was...well...creepy.
