Michael Porter, Sr. made $300k at UW, plus $5k monthly housing allowance and $15k annual travel allowance.

Cuonzo bumped him up to $1.1M/3-year deal.

Well, he needs really good players to compete so if he keeps being a good recruiter it will camouflage his coaching deficiencies. He had no idea how to coach up or utilize Jaylen Brown or Ivan Rabb. By season's end Jaylen was reduced to bull rushing through the key in a straight line and getting called for offensive fouls. Ivan Rabb jettisoned himself out of the First Round of the draft when he returned for a second season under Martin's tutelage and where he saw his FG% dip from .615 in his freshman year to .484 in 2016/17. With the players Cuonzo left in the cupboard this season, I am not convinced he would have any more wins than we have. Too bad we don't get any Kevin O' Neill at halftime this evening.

For a second I thought it was 1.1M per year.

Anybody else surprised at Tad Boyle's pay? I would have thought he'd be at at least 2M.

Here is the fundamental reason we are going to continue to have a hard time competing nationally in any sport, revenue or non-revenue, male or female. Select quotes from the article:

The SEC and Big Ten are so flush with rising television and postseason revenue that they are not just giving more to proven marquee coaches,

Rising revenues from television deals have enriched both leagues, especially through their own league networks.

The SEC shared about $40 million with each of its members in fiscal year 2016, up from about $21 million two years earlier. The Big Ten gave about $32 million to each of its 11 longest-standing members in fiscal year 2015 and could reach near $50 million each this year.

By contrast, the Pac-12's television networks have underperformed amid distribution issues, leading to lesser revenue-sharing with its members at about $25 million each in fiscal 2015, the most recent year available.

$3 million in Utah? No wonder we never really had a shot at Krystowiak (although I don't think he was interested in the job here, anyway).

For goodness sake, up in Corvallis they're paying almost $2 million for Tinkle?!?

The basketball coaches are making almost football HC money now.
