Didn't Cal beat them handily by 20 in Seattle last year? Has Seattle improved that much?

They did get blown out by Stanfurd in the first game (weird game), also lost to Udub by 8.. Beat Wash. St.by 7.

I'll take at crack at "Yes"

If that's correct, one of the main reasons is Soph PG Terrell Brown. . Really wanted a Pac12 offer. Went
to JC to build help his rep. Averaged in high 20s.At 6'1 or so, he likes rebounding and D.
Line is
11.1 ppg
5.5 apg
7.0 rpg

Austin will really need to be in top form

GO BEARS!!!

Last year Cal beat Seattle in Seattle by 22. And, then Cal proceeded to finish the season a horrible 8-24 overall and 2-17 against Pac-12 opponents.

Beating Seattle in Berkeley this year would be the least to be expected. And, even then, based on last year's results, unfortunately it does not mean that we will have a good season.

Go Bears!

6'-1" and averaging 7 rebounds is almost unheard of.

Sorry to have to point this out, but the Terrell Brown you write about and the Terrell Brown in the video clip are not the same person. The Terrell Brown in your video is a native of Hayward, and played his high school ball at Moreau Catholic of Hayward, his freshman year at San Jose State, his second year at CCSF, and is now playing for New Mexico State as a junior, where he is averaging 9.1 pts, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. He is not a starter.

The Terrell Brown who plays for Seattle is a native of Seattle, played his high school ball in Seattle, his first year at Shoreline JC, and this year for Seattle U as a soph. His Seattle U. stats are as you wrote, except that I could not find where he averaged 20 pts a game in high school or JC.

Austin will still need to be in top form, as you said.

Major error. Thanks.

Here he is as, I believe, a high school senior.

Here are his stats from Shoreline CC

They are both very good players. The Hayward Terrell Brown was the star of the CCSF team, with 15.9 ppg, FG 50%, 3pt FG 47%, FT 84.7%, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. He is 6th man at New Mexico State this year, and they are a pretty good team, probably a better team than Seattle. They are 10-3, and have beaten WSU twice, UTEP twice, and lost only to St Mary's, #2 Kansas (by 3 points on a neutral floor), and Drake. The main difference between the two Terrell Browns may be their haircuts. And of course the fact that the Hayward Terrell BRown was coached at CCSF by the great Golden Bear, Justin Labagh.

So he averaged 30 points at Shoreline. Even better. Austin may need help, and plenty of it.

I agree - I don't think Austin is our best defender. Maybe an assignment for Harris-Dyson?
