March Madness Report 2:

As a college Basketball fan, I will be attending all the six March Madness games at the San Jose SAP Center on Friday 3/22 and Sunday 3/24. I don't have a favorite (my beloved Cal is not there), so, I will root for whatever teams the majority of BI posters would like to see advance.

Please tell me who you would root for if you were there. Here are the games:

Friday 3/22 Morning Session:

. 11 AM: 4 Kansas State vs. 13 UC Irvine (I know future coach rumors and all, but, all indications are that it is not going to happen for us, at least not this year anyway, plus, I have watched K State and they are really good).

. 1:30 PM: 5 Wisconsin vs. 11 *****gon (sorry on this one, I am rooting for Wisconsin because I could never root for Dana A.. and Uncle Phil's franchise masquerading as a college team).

Friday 3/22 Evening Session:

. 4:27 PM: 5 Mississippi State vs. Liberty (A classic public school against a religious school and Miss State is really good).

. Friday 3/22 at 6:57 PM: 4 Virginia Tech vs. 13 Saint Luis University (I have watched VT and they are really good).

Go Bears!

P.S. For those of you who are stuck behind a desk on Friday and doing honey-do projects on Sunday, I feel for you as I was in your shoes for 30-40 years. But, my friends, hang in there because in a few years you will be free to be at the games reporting and I will be in old folks home hopefully reading about all of your adventures and fun.

Contrary view: I would never root for Wisconsin and their thugball style of play that substitutes hacking for defense and relies on the fact they know the officials will only call about 10% of the fouls they commit.

Well, maybe Wisconsin plays the heartland version of basketball (think of it as indoor tackle football in a basketball jersey).

Pac-12 referees call way too many ticky tack fouls which is maybe a factor in Pac-12's limited success in the NCAA's.

If I had to choose between rooting for Wisconsin or Nike U, it will be Wisconsin every day of the week and twice on Sunday!

Go Bears!
