Cal's first baseman, Andrew Vaughn, was national player of the year as a sophomore.
So far this season he's hitting .426, with a .593 on base percentage and .836 slugging.

He has a compact swing.....generates power and hits for average.

I, for one, wouldn't have even known there was a if not for oskidunker mentioning here.

Over on the Baseball and Olympic Sports, it seems to be heavily slanted toward swimming.
