Read somewhere that he's expected to graduate. So a lot of these reports are misleading; I believe he's seeking a grad transfer.

He's already used a blueshirt year so absent hardship grad transfer might be his only option. Or perhaps D-2 or D-3.

This is a player that is completing his fourth year with us and deserves some respect... and admiration, as he is expected to graduate next month!

He can grad-transfer somewhere, play another year and get a head start on a grad degree. That's great!

I assume Thorpe is, since he's from Texas. Smith played AAU for Walker as a freshman in HS.
