Ryan Anderson also had a change, although there is no forwarding address yet. Over the weekend, the Heat waived Anderson to accommodate the signing of Jimmy Butler.

Just two years ago, Anderson started 50 games for the Houston Rockets, but he started just eight of the 25 games he played in 2018-19, while splitting time between the Phoenix Suns and Heat. He averaged just 4.4 minute and 0.7 points in his 10 games with the Heat this past season.

The Heat are still responsible for paying the remainder of Anderson's contract, but payments will be spread over the next three seasons until 2021 at which point Anderson's four-year, $80 million deal, signed with the Houston Rockets, will be league history.

The 31-year-old Anderson has played 11 NBA seasons, and his best season was 2013-14, when he was limited to just 22 games because of injuries but averaged 19.8 points and shot 40.9 percent on three-pointers for the New Orleans Pelicans.

A contending team might be interested in signing a 6-foot-10 player who can hit three-pointers, so Anderson might pop up on another NBA roster before the 2019-20 season ends.

Would be fun if Ryan could play for GS.

Not if he is no good anymore... no player can escape old age.... 2 years ago, GSW went after Ryan every possession as soon as he checked into the Western Conference finals games.

Ryan had a solid NBA career.....

Yeah, I remember that he did not have the quickness to defend out there.
I'd still like to see him shooting for the W's.
Nice contract he got, right?

Regarding Rabb, this is a good article on his prospects going into summer league.
Said the fact he was sent there as a third year guy did not portend well. Like, if he didn't look great, he might be off the team.

Rabb played in 4 of 6 summer league games.
He was 7th in minutes at 21+. He avg 4.7 ppg on just 29% shooting (7 of 24). He was 3rd in rebounds at 7.9.
Teammate Brandon Clarke was summer league MVP. At 6th in minutes, barely more than Rabb, he avg 3x the points and led the team in rebounds at 9.5.

I noticed that 6'9" Brazilian Bruno (Coclo ?) who has bounced for G league teams for about 5 years had better stats than Rabb.
