Ah, that's lovely. I know that winning is important, but I am proud of Cal WBB because they are smart and good-hearted young women.

Up to now, I did not know such an award even existed. And, I have been following Cal sports for 40+ years and WBB for 30+ years. Would it be that you'd be everybody's favorite if you lose to (almost) everybody? If it wasn't for Washington Generals, would the Harlem Globe Trotters be the same?

Go Bears!

Would it be for a very specific reason if you read the link?
Wanting improvement, hoping for improvement in Women's hoops is what any good fan should want. But taking a shot when it doesn't even make sense is ridiculous, not that anything said on this board has anything to do with on-court performance. But their wins and losses meant zero in winning this award...

Clearly, you didn't bother to read the article...but that's not surprising.

"This is the second consecutive year that a Cal team has earned this honor. Last season, the Bears' field hockey team took home the award. Cal student-athletes Michael Capbarat (2008), Anna Key (2006), and Cara Chlebicki (2005) have also won the award."
