Live Stats has Jayda Noble's & Zahra King's numbers switched. Noble is #2 and King is #3. For the 2nd half the numbers have been corrected but the stats are still incorrect.
It appears as if Cal doesn't have a solid point guard and the Bears look to have only six quality players. I hope that Gisella Maul might be another for seven. None of the four freshmen nor Jayda Noble are consistent offensive threats when they have the ball. The Bears only had six points for the majority of the second quarter with three to four of those players in the game simultaneously.
I hope that I'm incorrect on my early observation. The PG issue is really of paramount importance for the season.

I left at the end of the 3rd. Our starters dominated Idaho State, in particular ISU couldn't contain the shooting of Ioanna, Marta, and Lulu. Our reserves played a bunch and more than held their own.
I was again impressed by Gabrielle - she's athletic, smooth, and focused. This is the first time I've seen Anastasia, nothing stood out but it's great to see her on the court at last.
There was a highly entertaining Simon Says competition at halftime, more competitive than the game. All the kids rocked the Haas.

Gabrielle Abigor has a beautiful free throw stroke (4-4). She did convert a couple of layups, too. GO BEARS!
Anastasia is still finding her game after a year off.
After missing her first two free throws, Zahra seemed to take a deep breath and played very well the rest of the game. I think nerves play a large part. She even had a steal leading to a bucket.
Lola went scoreless but came oh so close to hitting a couple of threes. She'll get there.
Love watching this team. Everyone plays hard and contributes.
The school kids were great! Very much into the game. Announcer mentioned that they each got a voucher for a free ticket to a future game. I think many will come back with parents and siblings.

Idaho State was awful but when you win a basketball game by over 50 points you've clearly got a lot of things going for you. I think Zahara and Gabrielle have huge upsides and look ready to contribute this season. Lola and Kamryn are more polished freshmen and will see some minutes this year. There were a few unforced errors that bothered me and we gave them too many offensive boards but those are very small quibbles in a dominating performance. I'm curious to see where Gisella will fit in when she's healthy, I also wonder if Anastasia will see more time as she continues to heal. Can't wait to get back to Haas for the Grambling game I'm optimistic that this is going to be our best season in a long time. Go Bears!!!
Good game, nice to see so many get playing time. After two games things look promising. Always fun to see all those little ones too!
We will get to see our next opponent, Gonzaga, when they play against Stanford in Palo Alto this weekend. Gonzaga is not rated as a Top 25 team this year, but is expected to make the NCAA tournament. Will be interesting to see in our own upcoming game with them which of our depth players Charmin will choose to use against a good team on the road in this early part of the season.
Great attendance! Sounds like they invited thousands of youths.
