thx for posting, glad the bears are now moved up to a #6 seed from a #7 seed but it still means in this scenario probably being unlv in the 1st game & then 90%+ most likely losing to tcu on their sold out hostile homecourt

gotta get to a #4 seed or better to survive the 1st round (it's probable 15 or 16 of the hosting teams will advance) in order to advance to the sweet 16 which should be played at more neutral sites

Also, have to keep an eye on the NET rankings. Whether we like the NET system or not, the NCAA Selection Committee does refer it. Right now, even after beating NC State, we are only at #30. We will need some more upsets. And we will also want the teams we have beaten to win against others to improve the value of those wins. The good news, though, is that we are well inside the NET cut line for making the tournament.

I wonder what we have to do to be Quad 1. I don't think we are, as Clemson's record against Quad 1 schools is 0-4...and they beat Cal...

I think its too early to make bracket predictions. We just need to keep winning then play whoever our opponent is and whereever that is. But it would be nice to be at least a #4 seed and have the first two rounds at Haas.

This was posted on the Duke thread…

In October, the NCAA published a PDF file of frequently asked questions for the NET in women's basketball. Quadrants are defined on page 4:
Quadrant 1: Home 1-25, Neutral 1-35, Away 1-45
Quadrant 2: Home 26-55, Neutral 36-65, Away 46-80
Quadrant 3: Home 56-90, Neutral 66-105, Away 81-130
Quadrant 4: Home 91-362, Neutral 106-362, Away 131-362

So because we are #30 on NET we are Quad 2 as far as Clemson is concerned, having beaten us on their home court?

Yes. My only question is if we move up to be a Quad 1 team does that then reflect as a Quad 1 win for Clemson?
