Not sure how Puff Morris did - somewhere between 10 and 20 points, I think.

Charmin and Eliza were at the game. They posed for a pic on Instagram with Puff after the game.

Big time recruit who is use to winning....love that.
And beating Mitty means she will be considered a 6 star by certain people on this board???

Beating Mitty means she's the second coming of Jesus Christ to certain individuals on this board.

LOL...there has to be a clever retort to that statement as it relates to Mitty as a parochial school.
Less clever: I was going to say, in that case, I will definitely invite Puff to my Seder! Except I don't need any anti-Semitic comments thrown my way...

The tv announcers focused the majority of their time on the trifecta of three open division state championships by Etiwanda and deservedly so. Puff Morris had a better game last season vs the Monarchs but I was most impressed with her seven assists. Did she make one three-pointer?

The Eagles will lose three of their four best players to graduation including two McDonald's All-Americans. IMO,
Ontario Christian will be the SoCal powerhouse next season with their three best players: two freshmen & one soph.

Archbishop Mitty is like De La Salle in football-they dominate Northern California and did not lose to any NC opponent even without McKenna Woliczko. The eight players that saw the floor last night were one freshman, three sophs & four juniors. When one adds junior McKenna Woliczko to the rotation next season, the Monarchs will return their top nine players. If Mitty is ever to capture the state open division title it would seem that it would have to be 2026 when Woliczko finishes off her incredible prep career. Ontario Christian probably has more raw talent but Archbishop Mitty plays better as a team. Remember that Mitty was the #1 team in the nation until Woliczko tore her ACL in the rematch against Ontario Christian. The Monarchs defeated them in their 1st meeting.

I was proud of Mitty's performance without their PF Woliczko inside. The young players rallied on two occasions when it appeared that they were going to get blown out. Next season, Woliczko will be a McDonald's AA. The Monarch's soph PG, Tee McCarthy,( #12) had a rough game. She was the one streaking the length of the court on a half of a dozen occasions but being unable to finish at the rim. I think that she made one. I give some credit to her having poor games last year as a freshman and this season as a soph to senior Puff Morris.

Tee McCarthy keyed the victory over undefeated Clovis West with eight steals to hold on to the Northern California Open Division Championship (64-60). GO BEARS! Go Monarchs!

I almost forgot to acknowledge Clay K's Carondolet Div I state championship over Sage Hill. Carondolet did not play Mitty this season for some reason. I read the article in the SF Chronicle about the game, and it was stated that Carondolet did not have a senior on their team. Perhaps-they'll be one of the primary challengers to AM in 2025-26.
