Read Kaitlin Chen who won a national championship with UConn and was drafted in the 3rd round to the Valkyries.

From California, she was a four-star recruit by ESPN and committed to Princeton over offers from Cal and North Carolina.

She obviously had the academics. A fish that got away

It would be interesting to hear her story further. Did she go to Princeton because she didn't want to turn down the top notch education, while still playing basketball at a decent level? Was playing pro basketball not part of her thought process at all? Did her abilities and physical capabilities grow enough that transferring to some place elite like UConn become viable? Well, also obviously "right place, right time" in terms of UConn needing a point guard...
If you didn't see it, her Princeton teammates came out to the Final 4 for her...really excited for her post Championship...

It was also fun to see her and the UConn team at the draft to support Bueckers and then when Chen (almost a rap bar) was surprisingly drafted by the Valks, she now had her whole team there share the joy. They all seemed so pumped for her to get drafted. It was a cool moment
