So, you are trying to tell me that they had their best season in recent years, AND they had their best recruiting in recent years? I'm shocked, dumbfounded, and beyond belief!
I mean, that's just like what Cal football and Men's basketball are experiencing right???! Nothing to see here, let's move on.....

It's great that Cal has the 4th highest ACC recruit class in the ACC coming to Berkeley. However, what we all have learned is that the talent from the transfer portal is the critical factor in assessing the improvement of a team from one year to the next. The one high school recruit that has blossomed recently at Cal has been Aussie Lulu Twidale. The other ESPN ranked recruits were not good enough out of high school to have an immediate impact. As a matter of fact, both #52 Mafua and #73 King have entered the portal to transfer.

Lower-ranked Gabrielle and Lola played solid minutes as freshies and should develop further.

I have placed two of the freshmen class in the top 8 player rotation. I have Puff Morris starting at PG and Taylor Barnes as the first SG off of the bench. GO BEARS!

Again, you have to watch a practice. Two years ago you raved about Ila Lne. after one practice I told you that Marta was much better. and you didn't believe it. Also Krimili was great and you picked it up in practice. As was Kayla and Jayda. You can't go by stats. They could be a bust or they could help a lot.

But that includes the talent you don't lose right? I found out last night that keeping Lulu took some work (and I think we all know by now what "work" means now? $$$) that there was nothing automatic about her return.

Come on wvb. Don't you know that the true measurement of a player's value comes from a stat sheet? You are actually suggesting to use the eye test as criteria? Don't be ridculous. And remember, the only way to win a women's college basketball game these days is to score at least 70 points. What the opponent scores is irrelevant.

Of course it did.

Charmin even alluded to this (that we need to raise NIL, to retain our players … for example LuLu)

Thanks to those big donors for making this happen

She will be the face of Cal basketball this upcoming season

My bad ...I thought this was a little bit more "assumed." But right, some people are fighting the good fight...
