During post-practice press availability yesterday, Gabby was asked about Charmin having changed practice times so the Cal team could witness the Valkyries in the playoffs (6:57) I've tried to cue video share link to begin there (of course worth listening to all the video)...
I wanted to also note, having attended the exhibition game vs UCLA, how much effort Charmin and her staff have really put into building the buzz/hype at Haas and her efforts to leverage the excitement for the Valkyries into spreading fan interest and support to the Cal women's team. I mean, getting 4,000 into Haas for a weeknight pre-season exhibition, even against UCLA, was an accomplishment...working with local hoops legends, Jason Kidd, to make it happen... Wearing the Valkyries colors too....as part of sharing the enthusiasm for the upcoming WNBA finals happening here in the Bay. All good stuff that we fans should be happy about too imho.
