Checked out the photo- which directed me to Anigwe's account. Got to love the "Favorites" from everything Berkeley related by Chou. Land Ionescu/Chou- we are final 4 bound

Yeah. I have (slowly) learned to assume that almost any published BB height, women or men, is maybe/kind of/sort of true, but never in stocking feet.

Speaking of the class of 2019, Salesian has a legit 6"5" frosh that looks pretty good and sure "bears" watching. She fills the need for their lack of height. The rolled over an AAU team from Minnesota on Saturday at St. Marys and played the only relatively close game that St Marys had in the tournament. They might have a really good team this year with the addition of that frosh in the lineup.
As an aside that team from Minnesota sure got a wake up call about California basketball. They got rolled by Salesian, totally destroyed by St. Marys and finally just ecked out a one point win against Vanden. I try to tell people that teams that play with no play clock have just are not used to the intensity and speed of the game as it is played here. They thought they were pretty good before they met these California teams.

A 6'5" frosh at Salesian? I am salivating! Bobbk also mentioned a 6'5"-er for JBS that Stanford and Cal have looked at, I believe she's 2018.
I cannot underemphasize how fortunate we were to land Kristine Anigwe. So it's nice to hear of some bigs coming down the pipeline for whom we might have a bit more of a "homecourt advantage." Besides the c/o '13, it seems most of the elite prospects out of NorCal for the past few years have been guards and wings.

Chen Yue looks about half as tall as the Campanile. I think we are in business.

Because being a good coach and having good relationships with your players are mutually-exclusive, right?

I doubt any of them are but that's the Cal staff's style. It's also Steve Kerr's style with the Warriors. They have probably one of the most player-friendly environments the NBA's ever seen. They also happened to have one of the best records of all-time and won the most recent NBA championship with that style.
They got to a final four with that style and have brought in some great recruiting classes with that style.
Time will tell as Lindsay's legacy continues to be built at Cal.
